And Moses said, “This will happen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread to the full in the morning; for the Lord hears your grumblings which you grumble against Him. And what are we? Your grumblings are not against us but against the Lord.” [Exodus 16:8] Moses responded to the grumblings and complaining against him because they did not have water. Moses talked to God and got the Israelites water. Next, they became angry because they did not have meat and bread to eat. Again, they grumbled at Moses who essentially said, “Hey, I didn’t want this job. I was happy in Midian until I experienced this burning bush. So here I am. Don’t you understand that you are not grumbling against me and Aaron?
