And, I have watched the Lord repeatedly remove the troublemakers, even sending them out of the city. Four or five times in our own church we have had people try to sow serious discord. Each time, the dissenter has tried to draw other people to themselves while attacking the credibility of the pastors. As God took those people out of our church to start their own small gathering, I cannot think of one that was blessed. God does not honor those people who sow discord and dissention, then go off and try and start something new. I’ve never seen anything good come out of dissention. Usually, within a year or two, the dissenting group is not even meeting anymore. I believe people who instigate dissention pay a precious price because this gossip and dissention is sin and will affect a person’s relationship with God until one repents.
