Pastor David Hoffman-Fear of the Lord

There are several Greek words for “fear.” The two used most
often in the New Testament to describe the fear of the Lord are
phobeo and phobos.
Phobeo means “to frighten or terrify”; it is the word Jesus used
when He said:
Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill
the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both
soul and body in hell. [Matthew 10:28]
