In my “praise” time, I try to praise God for His attributes,
His faithfulness, His forgiveness, His plan for me, His
abundant love, the specific blessings He has poured on me
and my family. As I move on to “repentance,” I have to
reflect on times that I went against what God’s Word says
and then confess it. Maybe I awoke in the night with some
doubts. Maybe I held a grudge against my husband. God
always brings to mind something for which I need to be
cleansed. And when my heart is cleansed, my relationship
with my Savior is restored and I’m ready to hear Him lead
me throughout the day.
