I also attended a liberal seminary. Most of the professors
were brilliant! They devoted their entire lives to study. They
were proficient in Hebrew and Greek! But they were certainly
not people you could go to for counsel or direction. Many of their
lives were a mess. They had mind-boggling knowledge but no
wisdom. Ironically, much of the knowledge these professors
possessed was biblical knowledge, but without the wisdom to
apply it to their lives. It was virtually useless to them!
