Now back to Jack. My daughter and I noticed that he
wasn’t in the small group playing near us in the kitchen so
I went in search of him. I found him laying as close as possible
to the manger, playing with his little army men. I
asked him if he’d like to come out to the kitchen to be near
us. His reply has stayed with me, “No thanks, Nana! I
just want to stay close to Jesus!” You see, Jack didn’t even
notice that he was alone because he was conscious of staying
close to Jesus, even though it was only a doll which represented
Jesus.
