Abraham saw his purpose; it lay in the generations
that were to succeed him.
Anna, the prophetess, had such a clear view of her purpose
that it held her in the temple, worshipping God with
fasting and prayers continually. As a woman of a great
age, her view of the Messiah that was to come consumed
her prayer life. Her purpose grabbed her and sustained
her to live a long life until she witnessed His arrival. When

she knew her purpose was fulfilled. She brought her
supply to the plan of His entrance on the earth.
