There were other things that God put on my heart during
this time. He led me to reach out on holidays to those
with no families because I now knew what it felt like to be
alone on those days. And best of all, God showed me that
true joy and contentment were found in loving and serving
Him. Sometimes He blesses us with family and friends
close by, and sometimes that isn’t His plan for us. Either
way, I discovered that I could have real peace and joy in
being His child, and I could rejoice that He was maturing
me and using me for His glory.
