The Power of God’s Presence!
Prayer is not optional if you want the power of God in your
life. Born-again, heaven-bound believers who do not seek God
daily in prayer do not enjoy His presence or experience His
power. Essentially they are choosing to live under their own
power, and that is no power at all!
When you prayerfully invite God to guide you and govern
your life you tap into His power, protection, and provision.
Consider it in these terms: an electric appliance requires a
current to function. Inserting the plug into an electric outlet
accesses the current. In the life of a Christian prayer is the
equivalent of plugging into God’s current! It is what releases His
power to and through His people. Just as an appliance is useless
without the power of an electrical current, so a Christian’s life is
powerless without accessing God’s current through prayer.
