“GREAT PEACE have they which love thy law:and nothing shall
offend them” (Psalm 119:165). One definition of the word “offend”
is cause to stumble. So, we could correctly quote this verse saying,
“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing (not even
the accusations, suggestions, or thoughts of the enemy) shall offend
them (or cause them to stumble).”
This verse tells us that those who love God’s law, God’s Word,
will have great peace. We show our love for God’s Word by doing
it – holding to it at all times and in the face of all opposition. When
we – do, we will have great peace.
