“The construction company called shortly after that and
asked me to come back to work for them. I asked if I could work
four days a week so I could keep working one day at the church
but they said no.”
“My wife, Darcy, and I had to make a decision. Was God
calling us into the ministry or should I go back to construction?
We believed that God wanted me to stay on at the church so we
went to Him in prayer, ‘God, you are going to have to open doors
for us. We will continue working at church one day a week to try
to start a children’s ministry but You are going to have to provide
for us because the church doesn’t have the money to support us
right now.’”
