THE SUPPLY HAS BEEN PREPARED
When God made a plan for the life of each one of His
children, He also planned the provision that plan would
need. All the supplies needed to carry out His plan accompany
the plan.
Hebrews 4:3 (The Amplified Bible) tells us,
…[His] works had been completed and prepared
[and waiting for all who would believe] from the
foundation of the world.
All you’ll ever need, spiritually, physically, and financially
to carry out His plan has already been completed,
prepared and waiting for all who believe. These things
that are prepared and waiting for you won’t just fall on
you. They will come to those who believe. You must
release faith to receive the things He has prepared and
waiting for you. This scripture shows us that everything
you’ll need to carry out His plan is fully prepared for you –
it’s waiting for you – it’s waiting on you to walk out His
plan.

When Daniel was able to reveal the dream and its

and position, for he had told the king,

There’s Supply in God’s Plan
Let’s look again at the passage we referred to earlier
regarding Daniel, for there’s more to see pertaining to

Above the Storm-Carol Hopson
It all gets down to staying focused and not listening to
the “pecking and crowing” that comes my way. Jesus said,
“My sheep hear my voice, and they know me and follow me.”
I only need to listen to my Shepherd’s voice and submit to
what He asks me to do. He is the only One I need to seek
to please. I can be gracious to those who are critical or
offensive as Colossians 3:12-17 teaches, but I don’t need to
dwell on what they say or attempt to please them. This
takes the sting out of criticism. If you’re continually being

heart. You don’t need to let it affect your joy.

and will to the Lord and God met his need. The statement
that strikes me the most is “As for God, his way is perfect.”
David’s situation had not changed and I’m sure he didn’t
know how it was all going to turn out. But, he showed his
complete submission to God with those words. My heart
has rested only when I’ve been able to say...as for God His
way is perfect...and truly mean it. It’s always a choice!

to the moon at five hundred miles per hour would take
almost 20 days to make the trip...it takes light 1.3 seconds.
The sun is ninety three million [93,000,000] miles from
earth. A jet flying five hundred miles per hour would take
twenty-one years to go the distance...it takes light only
eight minutes!

God:The Revealer of Secrets-Nancy Dufresne
Although we don’t understand what we’re saying when
we speak in other tongues, the last phrase of this verse
tells us that as we speak in tongues we are always praying
in line with God’s will for our lives or the lives of others.
Those weeks when I went aside to pray in tongues after
I broke off that engagement, I didn’t understand what I
was praying, but I was praying out God’s will for my life.
Verse 26 tells us that the Spirit helps us. How does the
Spirit help us? He gives us utterances for us to speak out,
which are utterances in line with God’s will for our lives;
and that brings us into the knowledge of what His plan is
for our lives.

Above the Storm-Carol Hopson
As I chose to focus on the “Son” instead of self, I began
to have hope again. God would eventually bring a doctor
into my life who was determined to find the cure and she
did just that over several months. The days and nights
were often long, as I awaited God’s timing, but my attitude
changed because of my focus and those months in bed
became times of spiritual growth, intercessory prayer and
plans for future seminars on discouragement.
Are you facing some troubles today? Have you been discouraged
for a long time because you don’t feel like God is

amount of light entering the pupil. Just past the pupil the lens
bends the light and focuses it into a narrow beam received by the
retina. The retina consists of ten layers of cells that translate the
light beam into color, depth and definition. Look up for a moment
from this page and consider the things around you in those terms.

in very real ways. When I was desperately sick after surgery
and the doctors couldn’t find the cause of the infection
that invaded my body, I was brought to a very low point. I

It seems to happen more often
than not. Things are going along
pretty well and then a crisis comes
up. Maybe it’s news from a doctor,
or an upsetting phone call. Recently,
I’ve had both and it always seems
to come as a surprise, even though I
know that the Scripture says not to
be surprised by these things.
(James 1:3-5) It’s like a sudden sickness
that attacks you in unexpected
ways; life suddenly looks grim, burdens
seem heavier and the days
ahead loom dark and dreary. I’ve
had those exact feelings when false
rumors were started about my husband
and me. I’m always amazed at
how quickly Christians and others
are open to listen to false reports
and pass them on. I’m sure that I’ve

I was engaged to someone, but came to see that the
relationship was not the will of God. But by this time, I
had lost the clarity of direction for my life, and I had no
idea what to do with my life once I had gotten out of that
engagement.
I was so desperate to know God’s plan for my life, but
since I was a baby Christian, I had no instruction as to how
to know His plan. But the Holy Spirit was so faithful to
help me, and He led me to set aside several hours a day to
speak in tongues.

Above the Storm-Carol Hopson
It’s time to look at the eagle again. While living in the
beautiful Northwest, my husband and I were out on a boating
trip to the San Juan Islands. Being a student of eagles,
I’m always looking for them in places like that and when I
spotted one very near the shoreline, we pulled the boat as
close as we could get. As I gazed up into the treetop, the
magnificent bald eagle sat so proudly on the top branch of
the barren tree. Suddenly, several black crows appeared
out of nowhere and started crowing loudly at the eagle.
When he didn’t respond, they began darting at him, over
and over, getting within inches of him each time. They
continued to screech and taunt him for 10-15 minutes. I’ve
learned that crows are notorious for this tactic and it
almost always works for them. They are able to gang up
on and intimidate most other birds and get their way. As
I watched this, I kept waiting for the eagle to snap at them
or try to get away from them but he did neither. He just
ignored them and held his position...at the top of the tree.
They finally gave up and flew away, probably in search of
someone more vulnerable to their attacks. I was struck by
how regal the eagle remained through all the taunting. He
never gave up his position, never glanced their way, or
withdrew from their continual, irritating attacks. He didn’t
change who he was because of who they were.

Proxima Centauri, the star nearest the earth, is 4.3 light
years away. For you to see that starlight on earth it has
to travel 670,000,000 miles per hour for more than 4 years.
A jet flying at 500 miles per hour would take fifty-one
trillion [51,000,000,000,000] hours to make the same trip
[5,771,535.7 years]!
You and I cannot imagine that amount of time...and this is
merely the nearest star! Most stars in our solar system are
between one hundred and one thousand light years from earth;
some stars in our galaxy are 4,000 light years away. The light
you see from those stars tonight began traveling at about the
time Moses crossed the Red Sea.
It takes light ten billion years to travel from one end of the
universe to the other, yet God created it all in seven days...and it
is only as wide as His hand! I cannot help but wonder what other
marvelous things might be out there that God created in eternity

NANA’S STORY
My little grandson came waddling into my room early
in the morning. I was surprised that he had climbed out of
the playpen in which he slept and wondered when he had
learned to do that. As I picked him up he looked at me and
said “Nana, mouse on!” He had such a concerned look on
his face and my heart skipped a beat. At this age, he only
put about three words together at a time, like “Nana, sit,
pay (play).” I asked him again what he said and again he
repeated with a deeply furrowed brow, “Nana, mouse on!”
Oh no, I thought. Could a mouse have gotten into his
playpen? Had he seen one scampering across the floor?
We hadn’t seen any since we’d moved into this house several
years ago, but there was always a first time.
I told my husband what he said and quickly asked him
to look for this little invader. It was horrible to think of a
mouse near my precious grandchild, and I was eager to
find the culprit. He searched and I searched, but we couldn’t
find any evidence of the little creature. All the time, I’m
holding my grandson and he keeps repeating the same
thing, “Mouse on, Nana!” He was getting more and more
concerned each time he said it. I wanted so much to put
him at ease and show him there was no mouse, but he didn’t
seem relieved. We looked everywhere, getting more
and more frustrated that we couldn’t find the source of his
concern.
At last, after finding nothing, my husband took him
into bed with him and I got up to start getting ready for the
day. About 15 minutes later, I came out of the bathroom
and went to pick up my grandson so that my husband
could get dressed. As I walked towards him, he looked up
at me and gave me a huge grin and said, “Yea Nana!
Mouse on!” As he did this, he pointed to my mouth and I
realized that I had put my mouth (lipstick) on! He had
been so concerned that his Nana had no mouth (mouse)
and was greatly relieved that I had finally put it back on!
(Does that give you a clue as to how I look without my
make-up on?)

Well, the problem was really quite simple. Nana’s
mouth had disappeared overnight and now had reappeared,
so all was well in the world. A tube of lipstick was
all that was needed. But, because we didn’t understand,
we worked ourselves into a frenzy trying to solve the problem.
The simplicity of God’s truth is so clear:
Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you
the desires of your heart.
(Psalm 37:4)

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand,
and marked off the heavens by the span, and calculated
the dust of the earth by the measure, and weighed the
mountains in a balance, and the hills in a pair of scales?
[Isaiah 40:12]

the thumb and the little finger. The prophet says that is what
God used to measure our earth and sky.

Christian. There is something about the night sky that proclaims
the glory of God to me...all those incredible stars, so numerous
they just blur together [that is why they call it “the Milky Way”!]
God created these wonders, then created something in us that
recognizes them as His handiwork. Paul explained it beautifully
to the Romans:
That which is known about God is evident within them;
for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of
the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and
divine nature, have been clearly seen. [Romans 1:19-20]
Look at a baby, an ocean or the solar system...you see
absolute proof that God exists. Some scientists try to deny God
by discrediting creation, but they are betraying their own Godgiven
conscience with prideful conjecture.

How are we to grow in appreciation of God when it is
impossible to understand Him? Simple—consider His works!
Scripture says to gaze at the heavens and you will then

But the flesh will fight you in this. The flesh doesn’t
want to speak in tongues because then the flesh isn’t getting
all the movement, your spirit is. When you speak in
other tongues, you are exercising your spirit, not your
flesh; it’s a spiritual exercise.
Your mind will also fight speaking in tongues because
then the mind isn’t getting all the movement. The Bible
tells us that the mind is unfruitful in this spiritual exercise
(First Corinthians 14:14). The mind will fight to stay in
control. But put your foot to that flesh and that mind, and
allow your spirit the privilege of fellowshipping with God
through the spiritual exercise of speaking in other tongues.

tongues, we access those mysteries. Those mysteries unfold
to us and are made clear to our spirits as we speak in other
tongues.
God gains no glory by holding the plan about your life in
the arena of “mystery”; He wants that mystery to become a
“revelation” to you. As we speak in other tongues, then the
Spirit of God is able to communicate that “mystery” to you,
and it then becomes “revelation.”
