But the flesh will fight you in this. The flesh doesn’t
want to speak in tongues because then the flesh isn’t getting
all the movement, your spirit is. When you speak in
other tongues, you are exercising your spirit, not your
flesh; it’s a spiritual exercise.
Your mind will also fight speaking in tongues because
then the mind isn’t getting all the movement. The Bible
tells us that the mind is unfruitful in this spiritual exercise
(First Corinthians 14:14). The mind will fight to stay in
control. But put your foot to that flesh and that mind, and
allow your spirit the privilege of fellowshipping with God
through the spiritual exercise of speaking in other tongues.
