Simply planning to pray sometime during the day does not
work. There will always be something to derail your plans and
prevent you from making time to pray. Establishing a specific
time for prayer makes it a priority in your schedule and insures
that it will be a consistent part of your day.
Second, Jesus instructed His followers to go into their inner
room and shut the door. It is essential to have a special place
where you can go each day at your appointed prayer time. It may
be your bathroom, living room, car, office, backyard, garage, or
any other place you can go to be alone with your Father.
