THE WISDOM OF GOD
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us
wisdom...” (I Corinthians 1:30). The wisdom that God gives you is
to reveal to you who you are in Christ, the authority that is yours in
Christ, and that Jesus’ defeat of the enemy is complete. You don’t
have to fight the devil; you don’t have to defeat him for Jesus already
defeated him for you. You are to fight only one fight – the good fight
of faith. Paul wrote, “Fight the good fight of faith… ” (I Timothy
6:12), which means to stand your ground on God’s Word. Remind
the enemy that he’s defeated, and that he has no authority over you.
You don’t have to get victory – Jesus got it for you. Boldly confess
that victory is yours, and stand your ground on the Word, refusing to
be swayed. Every time the enemy opposes you, exercise your authority
over him.
