A FULL JOY LEVEL When driving a vehicle, we have to refuel it so we don’t run out of gas and get stranded alongside the road somewhere; we can’t reach our destination on empty. Spiritually, we’re not to be empty, but we are to live full. Rejoicing helps us refuel spiritually. To keep our joy level from getting low, we’re to keep rejoicing – it will help us reach our destination. Rejoicing isn’t a feeling, but a decision. We aren’t to have only moments of rejoicing, but a lifestyle of rejoicing. As Paul instructed, “Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS.” First Peter 1:8 tells us, “… yet BELIEVING, YE REJOICE with JOY unspeakable and full of glory.” When you’re believing, you’re rejoicing. To fall behind in rejoicing is to fall behind in exercising faith. To keep faith flowing, keep rejoicing, for rejoicing and praising hastens victory.
