THE “GOOD” WILL OF GOD
Many Christians only live out the “good” level of His
will; they get born again, which is good, but they never
progress beyond that point. They never go on to spiritual
growth and maturity. They stay spiritual babies all their
lives, and live carnal, body-ruled lives. They travel from
crisis to tragedy, and the peace of God never rules in their
lives. They live lives full of worry, doubt and struggle.
They never develop their spirits, so their body and their
mind gangs up on their spirit and holds them captive to a
carnal, sense-ruled existence. Their refusal to give proper
attention to God’s Word and to their spiritual life, holds
them back from “living the good life.” Yes, they’ll go to
heaven when they die, but they never experience much of
it while they’re on the earth. They’re living out their own
plan for their lives and never lay hold of their real purpose,
and as a result, they bear no lasting fruit for the kingdom
of God.
