GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORD
By renewing your mind with the Word of God, you keep yourself
from being ignorant of your rights and privileges in Christ, and
then the devil can’t take advantage of you. The devil thrives on igno-
rance. He’s counting on ignorance to work his plan. The devil works
in the earth through ignorance, but God works in the earth through
knowledge. Hosea 4:6 tells us, “My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge… .” The word “destroyed” means cut off. God’s people
are cut off from blessings through the lack of knowledge of God’s
Word. By renewing your mind, you protect yourself from failure that
comes from ignorance of God’s Word.
To receive what you need from God, you have to gain knowledge
of how He works; that knowledge comes through the Word.
When you cooperate with God by acting on His Word, then you will
receive. That’s why it’s so important to renew your mind with the
Word of God.
It’s only through renewing your mind with the Word of God that
you can know your rights and privileges in Christ and can experience
victory in every arena of life.
