My mother loves to restore antique furniture. She gets thrilled
when she finds a beautiful piece of furniture that needs restoring, for
she can see its potential past the old, damaged finish; she’s expectant
about what it can become. A beautiful piece is made even more beautiful
after it’s restored. Even a piece of furniture that seemingly has
no apparent beauty can be brought to a place of great beauty once it’s
restored.
Even so, as a believer renews his mind with the Word of God,
God is able to restore his mind, and his life will be transformed until
it becomes a life of great beauty – a life that moves with God.
