D.D.S Dennis J. Wourms

In the past, Amalgam was used by many endodontists
to seal the ends of root tips during apicoectomy procedures,
but many other endodontists (including me) now use
improved, non-metallic sealing materials.
If you desire additional credible information on
amalgam, you can visit the public side of ADA.org at
www.ada.org/public/topics/fillings.asp.
Amalgam has been used for about one-hundred-andfifty
years now, and as I have mentioned previously,
technology has come a very long way. If you do not want
amalgam restorations placed, ask your dentist to use a
composite resin material or a crown.
