Romans 8:13 also tells us that, “… ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body… .” If you will take time every day to
speak in other tongues, your spirit will be strengthened and it will
help you keep the body under – it will help you mortify or deaden the
deeds of the body. Through the Spirit, or by speaking in other
tongues, your spirit is built up, charged up and strengthened to stay
in dominion over your flesh.
