Several hundred years later, when God revealed His will to
Moses, tithing ceased to be optional—God commanded it from
His people.
Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of
the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S; it is holy to the LORD.
[Leviticus 27:30]
God called the tithe ‘holy to Himself’...it is set apart for Him
alone! That was His will for the Israelites then and it is His will
for you and me today. God provides one hundred percent of all
you have, but He has given you permission to use only ninety
percent of it. The tithe is not ours to keep.
