A CHOICE BETWEEN GOOD AND BEST
In the passage in Luke 10:38-42 we have the story of
Mary and Martha. Jesus came to visit in Martha’s house,
so she was busy in serving Jesus, but Mary just parked
herself at Jesus’ feet to listen to His words.
Martha got so upset at Mary for not helping her that
she complained to Jesus about it. Martha was upset at
Mary’s inactivity toward natural things; but Jesus corrected
her by saying that she was too active toward natural
things, and was too inactive toward spiritual things.
