VIOLATE FEAR If fear suggests something to you, violate it – don’t act in line with it. Don’t listen to it. Don’t yield to it. Don’t think about or believe what fear suggests. When you successfully resist fear in one arena, it may try to attack in another arena, but resist it and stand your ground. Many, however, don’t always recognize the movement of fear, so they don’t always take a stand against it. One woman told me of a time when she was at work and was told by a co-worker that he was leaving the office early to go home because he was sick. When this woman heard that, she thought to herself, “I hope I don’t get sick,” and she started rebuking sickness. But the next day, she got sick. When she related the story to me later, she said she saw where she had missed it. It was fear that suggested to her that she might get sick. She believed what fear suggested and, in fear, started rebuking sick- ness. She opened the door to the devil by believing and acting in line with what fear suggested – instead, she should have rebuked the spirit of fear.
