The 555 Marriage Plan In our church I have introduced what I call the 555 Marriage Plan, a proven plan to enhance your marriage. In this plan, the husband and wife agree to do the following: 1. Pray together for 5 minutes each day. The husband starts by praying God’s blessing on his wife, and then the wife prays a blessing on her husband. I tell the married couples in our church, “If you are a Christian couple and cannot agree to pray together for five minutes each day, you have some serious marriage problems.” Something very important here: Wives, if your husband forgets to pray on a particular day with you, do not fall into ungodly thoughts such as, “There’s proof that he doesn’t care about our marriage.” The enemy will try and lead you into ungodly thoughts, so resist the devil and he must flee. Instead, pray for your husband, give him grace. Let the Holy Spirit convict him that he missed a day.
