Chapter Seven Keep Out Doubt We must protect our peace so that we keep the door closed to the enemy. In the two previous chapters, I showed how we must protect our peace from worry and fear. In this chapter, we will see how we must protect our peace from doubt. Romans 10:17 tells us, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Faith doesn’t come by praying for it, but faith comes as you gain knowledge of what God says in His Word. Great faith comes from great knowledge of God’s Word. To have great faith, gain greater knowledge of His Word and act on it. Feeding on the Word of God, meditating on the Word (thinking deeply into it, muttering it to yourself), and acting on the Word will cause faith to grow strong.
