Mrs Nancy Dufresne-A Sound, Disciplined Mind
When Jesus walked on that platform that day and spoke to me, I
was expecting Him to do something about my storm, but He didn’t.
He expected me to violate all that I was hearing and feeling, and
exercise my authority, and not believe the threats of the enemy.
Don’t wait for God to do something regarding a situation that
may be troubling or unsettling you. You do something about it –
you’re authorized! Exercise your authority over the devil. Tell him to
desist in his maneuvers against you.
God did all He’s going to do about the devil when He sent Jesus
to defeat and strip him of his power and authority over you. Jesus
restored to the Church the authority that Adam had turned over to the
devil when he sinned and committed high treason against God. Jesus
handed you the authority to rule and reign as a king in this life over
the circumstances that try to rise up against you, so you are the one
who is authorized to do something with any opposition that arises.
God doesn’t need to do anything more for you. In fact, God can’t do
for you what He authorized you to do. The authority that He gave
you over the enemy is total and complete, and is more than sufficient
to overcome any opposition.
