As we read through the Bible it is easy to discern that God judges His people by how they keep His covenant with them. In the New Testament, we have a new covenant with God that is based on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? [John 11: 25-26] When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He gives you eternal life, starting right now! There are two aspects to your eternal life: One: When the body dies, your spirit and soul live on forever, and Two: You have eternal life starting when you accept Jesus. He declared that in this eternal life begun living now there is abundance, a way to live that can bless you in your life, your marriage, your finances. [John 10:10] Just look to Him first and submit to His Word, and you will be blessed. The Bible is an invitation to study God’s faithfulness in keeping His covenant. The longer I live as a Christian, the more I can testify that God is a covenant-keeping God. God keeps His promises.
