As I chose to focus on the “Son” instead of self, I began
to have hope again. God would eventually bring a doctor
into my life who was determined to find the cure and she
did just that over several months. The days and nights
were often long, as I awaited God’s timing, but my attitude
changed because of my focus and those months in bed
became times of spiritual growth, intercessory prayer and
plans for future seminars on discouragement.

focus and renewed hope? Then get alone with God, away
from distractions, and open yourself up to Him. Surrender
your deepest fears to Him and then trust Him enough to
