God forgives those who are repentant but confession alone is
not repentance! Repentance means there must be a change of
heart...a genuine desire to turn away from sinful behavior with
the intention never to return. If a repentant person could turn
back the clock, they would choose not to sin.
Praise the Lord that when you truly repent the Lord forgives
you and forgets your sin.
For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will
remember their sins no more. [Hebrews 8:12]
