Daniel took no glory or credit for himself. That’s the
only kind of man who is safe with increase and riches – one
who understands that he’s not the source of any greatness.
To further see the purity of Daniel’s heart, we can look
at what else he did at the time the king promoted him and
bestowed great gifts upon him.
And Daniel requested of the king and he appointed
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego over the affairs
of the province of Babylon…
(Daniel 2:49, The Amplified Bible)
Daniel didn’t forget those who brought their supply to
this incident. His companions had prayed and believed
with him, so he made sure that they increased with him!
A true-hearted, spiritual man brings others up higher; he
doesn’t seek to only have himself increased, but a spiritual
man brings other into increase as well!
