I have set the Lord continually before me; because
He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
my flesh also shall dwell securely.

Now let’s get back to that little flailing eaglet. He still
thinks he’s going to crash and life is over. But, just before
he hits the ground, the father eagle, swoops under him and
catches him on his back and returns him to his nest for
another flying lesson. Isn’t that a beautiful picture of
God’s loving care for us? We can’t learn obedience in our
comfortable surroundings, and we can’t grow properly if
we never learn to crawl, walk, and run. And so, God, in
His love, gives us “flying lessons.” God knows what’s
ahead and He knows how He wants to use us and so we
need to trust Him with the lessons He has planned for us.
