A Sound Disciplined Mind-Mrs Nancy Dufresne

The word “condemned” means pronounced to be wrong, guilty, and worthless; sentenced to punishment or destruction. That is no description of the child of God, for Jesus took our place in punishment; He was condemned so we could be free. For us to yield to a sense of condemnation is to forget what Jesus did for us. A sense of condemnation and guilt is not part of God’s dealings with His children, and is to be resisted. Those who yield to a sense of condemnation and guilt will find their faith weakened and unable to receive from God. It takes faith to receive from God, and there is no faith attached to condemnation; it can’t conduct faith. Those who yield to condemnation will not only find their faith inoperative, but condemnation can open the door to depression. We are not to give place to condemnation; we must resist its entrance into our lives. If the door has been opened to condemnation, then it can be closed by being a doer of the Word.
