Mrs Nancy Dufresne-A Sound, Disciplined Mind
To be filled with the Spirit and to speak with other tongues is one
of the greatest privileges of the believer. As you speak with other
tongues, you build and charge yourself up on your most holy faith
(Jude 20). As you speak with other tongues, your spirit is communicating
directly with God (I Corinthians 14:2). Speaking with other
tongues is one way to continue to be filled with the Holy Ghost. (To
be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other
tongues, see the chapter on How to be Filled with the Holy Spirit.)
Ephesians 5:18-20 instructs us, “And be not drunk with wine,
wherein is excess; but BE FILLED with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making
melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things
unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Another way to continue to be filled with the Spirit is to speak to ourselves
in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in our daily lives.
