How are we to live full of the Spirit? Acts 2:1-4 tells us, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” When the disciples were initially filled with the Spirit, they began to speak with other tongues. Acts 4:31 records what happened when the disciples were again assembled together at a later time. “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” This shows us that although the disciples had been initially filled with the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost, they also received subsequent infillings.
