The Most Important Part of Parenting
Every parent knows that raising children is a tough job. You
can read enough “How To” books to fill a library but it will never
match the benefits of one humble prayer for help when a crisis
hits.
My son, Andy, during elementary school, was having trouble
learning to read at one point...he was a grade or two behind the
rest of his class. Mary and I had him tested to see if there was a
major problem, but the results showed there was no dyslexia,
only slow processing skills. We concluded that we simply started
him in school a little too early.
Our children attend the school started by our church, Venture
Christian School. Students at Venture spend two or three days
per week in class and their days off—home schooling. We took a
two-week vacation in beautiful Montana so during that time our
children did only home schooling.
