Publishing Fact #12 Printers have three basic sizes, they print books in a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 6 x 9 and 8 1.2 x 11. These are the standard sizes that do not involve extra trim, a book can be printed at any size; you just print it to the next size bigger and trim it.
