Other biblical principles that run counter to the ideas of
modern culture involve roles of husbands and wives, how
children should be parented, and the handling of finances. Some
Christians are ashamed to talk about these issues and would
rather compromise on God’s Word than look bad in the eyes of
the world.
There are translations of the Bible that purpose to soften the
miracles of Jesus because miracles are not logical. This is simply
a poorly veiled attempt to disregard portions of scripture that
offend the human mind. When Jesus walked the earth He healed
people and performed miracles. Though it offends the minds of
those who crave logic, God still heals people and performs
miracles today and that is not changed by efforts to water down
the Word of God. I am not presenting suppositions—I am
testifying to what I have witnessed. Miraculous things have
happened in our church! Miraculous events happen every day to
thousands of God’s people.
