Selling in a Slow Market

Right now people are not buying Christian books at the rate they did a year ago. How do you manage distribution and marketing in a slow publishing market?
For one, the writer needs to be willing to speak to small groups, conferences and seminars. At CSN Books we encourage our authors to speak to small men's and women's groups, and book conferences and seminars.
Another thing is to visit bookstores with our catalog, helping in the distribution and marketing.
Before you publish, please rmember that as the writer your job is not over with the writing.
