Mrs. Carol Hopson-Above the Storm

The eagle sits calmly as the storm approaches, and
knows what to do because of his preparation. When he is
ready, he locks his wings into an ascending position and
“mounts up” into the storm and lets the currents lift him
up to where the sun is shining. The storm is still raging,
but he has put it beneath him, where it doesn’t affect him,
and he soars in the beauty of the sunshine. It’s so interesting
to me that he “locks his wings” into an ascending
position. To ascend means to move upward or rise gradually,
and so, as the eagle locks his wings, he makes up his
mind to purposefully move upward. Isn’t this what God
has called us to do?
