As things turned out, the mass was not cancer, and not
anything life-threatening. The surgeon had decided, just
before cutting, to take a fifth mammogram and it was after
studying that fifth one that she and another doctor discovered
that the “mass” was only a strange alignment of blood
vessels and I needed no surgery or further treatment.
After the surgeon left, the nurse came up to my bed and
said, “Could you please tell me how to find the peace that
you have.” What a privilege to share God’s love and peace
with her before going out to tell my husband the great
news.
