We compromise and rationalize the Word of God to obtain
what we want. That is American Christianity. I must confess
that I’ve compromised and rationalized the Word of God to
justify all manner of things I wanted. In truth, I did not really
believe the Bible, or I would have obeyed and not compromised.
I said I believed the Word...I even believed I believed it. My
choices proved otherwise.
When my idea of what I needed was different than what God
said I needed, my actions proclaimed my unbelief. Had I truly
believed God’s Word, I would have obeyed Him.
I would have feared the Lord.
