much and wants to relieve the weight and stress of my

Mrs. Carol Hopson-Above the Storm
Now what do you think her loving Papa said in reply?
Do you think he said, “Becca, I’m too tired and don’t feel like
carrying you right now.” Or do you suppose he shamed her
for getting tired and admitting she needed his help? Of
course not! My husband loves those grandchildren more
than his own life and He will do anything to have them curl
up in his arms so that he can have the chance to snuggle
with them. So, he looked at Becca with heartfelt love and
scooped her up into his arms and carried her the rest of the
way, loving every minute of it. He was so glad that she
wanted to be held that it was the first thing he told me
when he got back.

My husband decided to take little Monica and Becca for
a walk while we were visiting them. He loved any chance
to be with his granddaughters and cherished their hugs
and kisses. He could always make any walk adventurous,
and they knew it, so they eagerly joined him for this
“safari” into the wild. As they headed out through fields
and trees behind their home, my husband offered to carry
little two-year-old Becca. He could see that this was quite
an effort for her as there were rocks and logs to step over
and he could see she was weary. But, being a normal twoyear-
old, she said she could do it by herself. However, as
the hike grew longer, Becca finally looked up at her Papa
and said, “Papa, I can’t do it by’self. Pease carry me!”

Fear of the Lord-Pastor David Hoffman
Ezekiel and the Apostle John saw similar visions of God, yet
both struggled to find adequate words to describe Him.
Both men refer to crystal and rainbows. Ezekiel describes
fiery, glowing metal and John uses gem-like references. Jasper
is a clear, emerald green stone and sardius is a stone that
appears to be red in direct light but is orange and brown in
reflective light. Even with all this detail, I am at a complete loss
to imagine the appearance of God.
Ezekiel saw only a glimpse of the Lord and was compelled to
fall on his face...it was all his mind could handle. John had a
similar response when he saw the resurrected Christ [Revelation
1:17]. I believe people fall on their faces before God because no
other response is possible! He is more splendid than any human
can comprehend. Even today falling prostrate is a typical
response among those who experience the powerful presence of
God.

Out from the throne came flashes of lightning and sounds
and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire
burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of
God [The Seven Spirits of God are listed in Isaiah 11:2];
and before the throne there was something like a sea of
glass, like crystal; and in the center and around the
throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and
behind. The first creature was like a lion, and the second
creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like
that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying
eagle. And the four living creatures, each one of them
having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and
day and night they do not cease to say, ‘HOLY, HOLY, HOLY,
is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND
WHO IS TO COME.’ And when the living creatures give glory
and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to
Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders
will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will
worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast
their crowns before the throne, saying, ‘Worthy are You,
our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and
power; for You created all things, and because of Your
will they existed, and were created.’”

around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the
thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white
garments, and golden crowns on their heads.

God:The Revealer of Secrets-Nancy Dufresne
Daniel took no glory or credit for himself. That’s the
only kind of man who is safe with increase and riches – one
who understands that he’s not the source of any greatness.
To further see the purity of Daniel’s heart, we can look
at what else he did at the time the king promoted him and
bestowed great gifts upon him.
And Daniel requested of the king and he appointed
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego over the affairs
of the province of Babylon…
(Daniel 2:49, The Amplified Bible)
Daniel didn’t forget those who brought their supply to
this incident. His companions had prayed and believed
with him, so he made sure that they increased with him!
A true-hearted, spiritual man brings others up higher; he
doesn’t seek to only have himself increased, but a spiritual
man brings other into increase as well!
