How does the principle of fullness impact the church? Does fullness of iniquity demand fullness of Christ? Some of the most amazing covenantal promises in Scripture concern money and how we handle it. If we pass the mammon test, we can participate in spiritual government. Without cleansing the temple, the authority for spiritual government is lost.
The only place in Scripture where God invites us to put Him to the test is in the context of our choices with money. Malachi 3:10 states, “‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse….” By emphasizing the personal choice of giving as the determinant covenant factor we have missed half of what the Bible teaches on this subject, and consequently closed the windows of heaven. Purifying The Altar offers a path parting the waters of tradition and pursuing an open heaven.
Jesus stated in Matthew 23, “‘Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?’” Jesus made the condition of the altar the determinant covenant factor. When an altar is cleansed so that it “sanctifies” what is given, the windows of heaven open because the covenant is actually consummated.
Purifying The Altar is a study of the biblical principles which contribute to closing or opening the windows of heaven through purifying both the personal and corporate altars!
The following questions are answered.
(1) What transpires in the realm of the spirit when we do business with God at an impure altar?
(2) In every Bible believing congregation the majority of people agree, “We tithe and are doing the best we know to do, but we do not seethe windows of heaven opened to the full extent God promised.” Why?
(3) The spiritual law of the altar states, the condition of the altar where we attend, participate, and put our money is reproduced in our life, whether we are aware of it or not.
