Most of the peaks represent times when storms are raging.
The boss says, “You’re fired!” or the school nurse calls and says
there is a strange lump on your child’s neck. There is a
significant peak in prayer for most believers during storms but
when Jesus calms the storm through His provision, healing,
deliverance, or peace prayer often sinks into a valley of near
nothingness.
This sad pattern was true in my life and in the lives of so many
people I encountered in the church. This pattern prompted one of
the most powerful ministries at Foothills Christian Fellowship—
the Prayer Society.
