Renewing Your Mind
Our lives will equal our thought lives – good or bad. To improve
our lives, we must improve our thought lives. God has given us the
means whereby we can improve our thought lives – through renewing
our minds with the Word of God, which will transform our lives.
So the responsibility rests with us, not with God, to renew our minds.
We must take God’s Word and renew our minds, disciplining our
minds to think in line with His Word. A renewed mind is a disciplined
mind – disciplined to take on the thoughts of the Word.
And be not conformed to this world: but BE YE TRANSFORMED
BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may
prove (discern) what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God. (Romans 12:2) When you renew your mind with the Word
of God, this verse says that it will transform your life; your life won’t
look the same or be the same. Those who are renewing their minds
with the Word of God will live transformed lives. A transformed life
will be able to accomplish what it couldn’t accomplish before it was
transformed.
