Trusting God in Times of Trouble- Mrs. Carol Hopson

COME AND DINE…
1. Do you think first of what God would counsel you to
say or do in any situation? If not, why not? Do you need
to memorize some of the above verses so the Holy Spirit
can bring them to your mind when needed?
2. Write down how going to God's Word for counsel
would spare you from anger, stress, and unneeded conflict.
(See Colossians 3:12-17.)
3. Read the familiar passage in Galatians 5:22-25 and
see what the "fruit of the Spirit" looks like in our daily
lives. Do you see that it doesn't say "fruits," as if they are
separate and we can pick and choose which ones we
want to obey? How can you apply these to your life
today? (Try to be specific in your answer.)
4. Feast on Psalm 37 today, and then write out the
counsel you receive from this passage. (You should find
at least ten things in the first eleven verses.)
