4) Be a “pillow”
Be as soft and comforting as the pillow your child sleeps on.
Your child needs your unwavering tenderness and affection.
Titus challenges us to be a child-lover, tender and affectionate
and constant [not hot and cold]. Your child needs to know you
are consistent and genuine. Psalm 131:2 and Isaiah 66:12-13
describe how a mother’s touch composes and quiets a child.
One of The Five Languages of Love is touch. Ever since my
children were little, I have made a point of touching and
scratching their backs, playing with their hair, hugging them
daily.
