The relationship between Israel and the Gentile Church is called a “mystery” by the Apostle Paul. He shows that this issue is the most important truth after the gospel of salvation. Sadly, it is almost totally ignored in the Church today.
According to Paul, the mystery:
Is the key to real authority and real victory in spiritual warfare
Is the source of abundant grace
Is the key to experiencing the fullness of Christ’s life flowing in us
Will keep us from falling in the time of shaking
Will allow us to be part of the Kingdom of God and inherit the earth
Amazingly, the issue of having the correct biblical faith determines our eternal destiny-heaven or hell. Paul show that the right faith regarding the mystery determines if we receive the above blessings. Tragically, God’s Word has faced the adjustments, filters, prejudices, and theological tinkering of Gentile theologians for 2,000 years. Paul’s mystery has been so thoroughly “Gentilized” and spiritualized that what is preached today bears little resemblance to what he wrote. Hence, it has little practical effect on many areas of our daily lives. The answer is to return to Paul’s version and explanation of this vital truth.
