God’s will is for every believer to increase what He has entrusted to them! The Bible says God expects His people to prosper. Proverbs says a wise man leaves an inheritance for his children and his children’s children. The parable Jesus told of the talents in Matthew 25 specifically addresses God’s expectation that believers invest and increase. Why does God want believers to increase what He has given? I believe it is so there will be an abundance to give away. Read the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 and it is obvious that God is not pleased with the one who buried his possessions in the ground.
